Chanderprabhu Jain College of Higher Studies and School of Law Organizes Loi Fiesta 1st National Law Festival on 5th-7th April – Last date for Submission 20th March, 2016

The Chanderprabhu Jain College of Higher Studies and School of Law, Narela, Delhi has decided to host Loi Fiesta 1st National Law Festival on 5th-7th, 2016 on the theme ‘Environment and Sustainable Development’. The events consist of National Quiz Competition, National Debate Competition, National Legal Drafting, National Client Counseling Competition, National Legal Essay Writing Competition,National Moot Court Competition and National Seminar. The national seminar will be conducted on the topic Clean India, Green India: Issues and Challenges. The sub themes of the seminar are as follows:

  • Environmental pollution monitoring
  • Environmental policies in India
  • Sustainable Development
  • Role of common people in making pollution free state
  • Reuse & recycling of resources
  • Social analysis of CLEAN-India policy
  • Analysis of current Laws regarding environment
  • Waste Management

The organizers calls for research articles and field studies from academicians, research scholars, lawyers, students etc on any of the topics related with the sub themes. The papers should be original work with the contribution of the authors. The participants should bring the hard copies and soft copies of the paper on the seminar day. The abstract along with the full paper should not be more than 8 pages. A copy of the paper should be forwarded to  hodlaw.cpj@gmail.com. Registration fee for the seminar will be Rs 1500 for academicians and legal professionals with accommodation and Rs 1000 without accommodation. For research scholars and students registration fee will be Rs 1000 with accommodation and Rs 500 without accommodation.

The topic of the debate competition will be ‘Imposing green tax is the only solution to safeguard environment’. There should be two participants from one institution. The topic for the legal drafting competition will be announced on the spot and the participants will get 30 minutes to plan the draft. The client counseling competition shall consist of two participants. The topic for the competition will be announced at the time of the event.

The last date of registration for all the events is 25th March, 2016. The registration fee for every team is Rs 5000. The registration details should contain the name of participating college, the team members, contact no. and email ID which should be send to cpjchs.loifiesta@gmail.com accompanying the scanned copies of registration forms and receipt from bank regarding the deposit of registration fee.

Along with this the CPJ Law Journal also invites Articles, Essays, Notes and Comments (Case Comments, Book Comments, Legislative Comments, Policy Comments and Scholarship Comments) etc to be published in the journal. The details can be availed by sending queries to lawjournal.cpj@gmail.com.
