Justice Kumarayya College of Law is an oldest private college established in 1991. It is located in Karimnagar in the State of Andhra Pradesh. The institution is affiliated to Satavahana University. The college is also recognized by the Bar Council of India. The college offers Bachelor of Laws programme for the duration of three years. It is a full time course conducted according to the rules prescribed by the University. The college is added with many advanced facilities that contribute to the development of the college as well as students.
To get admission to the LLB course, the candidates have to pass graduation and should clear the LAWCET entrance examination conducted by the State of Andhra Pradesh. But the candidates who have pursued higher secondary studies or graduation through distance mode without having any other fundamental eligibility to continue such studies will not be admitted to LLB. The reserved category students are given relaxation of marks as per the norms of the college. The facilities in the college include library, seminar hall, modern auditorium and lecture hall. Though class room lectures are given prime importance, the college also organizes co-curricular activities. The teaching and non-teaching staff is efficient enough to deal with the students. The college has its own premises and is the only college located in Karimnagar.
The college often organizes seminars for which the invited dignitaries will be judges of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh. Every year, the college conducts legal aid camps in rural areas providing legal advice to the poor. The programme also aims to spread the significance of legal education among the weaker sections of the community. Legal literacy programmes are also arranged that gives general awareness to the people regarding the rights and duties available to the citizens. Many eminent persons are the alumni of this college.
The candidates who are admitted to the LLB course has to produce the mark lists and the certificate of the higher secondary or degree examination, transfer certificate from the institution where the candidate studied last, character and conduct certificate, rank card and admit card of the LAWCET examination, recent passport size photos, caste certificate and income certificate for the reserved category.
