The Bangalore Institute of Legal Studies has decided to conduct the 3rd National Moot Court Competition Lex Fortissimus 2016 from April 15 to 17, 2016 at Bangalore. The main purpose of the competition is to provide the platform to young lawyers to showcase their talents and skills of advocacy, thereby enhancing their knowledge. The problem for the competition will be based on Company Law. The competition will be conducted at the BILS campus. The students pursuing five year LLB course are eligible to participate. The participants can register provisionally from March 5, 2016 through online mode. The last date of registration shall be March 15, 2016. The acceptance of application will be intimated to the participants by March 18, 2016 not later than 5:00 pm. The registration fee shall be Rs 3000 per team.
The teams whose registration is accepted have to send Scanned copy of the Covering Letter from the participating institution with names of the participants, years of study etc, Scanned Passport Size Photographs of the participants (photo with white background, .jpeg format, 4.5cm x 3.5cm, should not exceed 300 kb), Scanned copy of the Demand Draft or the receipt of the funds transfer and Copy of the Registration Form enclosed as Annexure I to lexfortissimus@bils.ac.in by not later than March 22, 2016.
The hard copy of the above mentioned documents shall reach the organizers by March 25, 2016. The DD shall be drawn in favour of “The Principal, Bangalore Institute of Legal Studies” and should be locally payable. The last date for sending soft copy of the memorials shall be April 4, 2016. The memorials should be send to lexfortissimus@bils.ac.in. The seven hard copies of the memorials shall reach the organizers by April 9, 2016. The accommodation charges will be Rs 2000 per day for shared accommodation. The participants can download the registration form from March 6, 2016. Only 24 teams will be admitted for the competition on first come first serve basis. The organizers also announces cash prize of Rs 20000 for the winning team, Rs 10000 for the runner up team, Rs 10000 for best memorial and Rs 7500 for best mooter.
