The Department of Laws, BPS Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, Khanpur Kalan, Sonipat has decided to conduct National Seminar On Re- envisioning Social Justice in the Era of Globalization: Issues and Dilemmas on 26th March, 2016 . The seminar will be conducted at Conference Hall, Department of laws in BPS Mahila Vishwavidyalaya. The main purpose of the seminar to spread the basic objectives enshrined under the Constitution. The preamble reflects the true spirit of the Constitution. The primary object of the principle of social justice is to provide equal to all the persons to live in just conditions of the society. The issues related with social justice exist all over the world, at national level, in regional areas and even among small groups. The main reasons for such issues are unequal wealth and distribution of resources, caste discrimination etc.
The fundamental purpose of this seminar is to give awareness to various people in the society, mainly the vulnerable and marginalized groups regarding the constitutional mandates and the need to remove social injustice. There will be discussions and interactive sessions during the seminar on the topic. The following are the sub-themes of the seminar:
- Enacting social justice through education
- Corporate social responsibility and social justice
- Human resource development and social justice
- Environmental issues and social justice
- Constitution as an inspiration for growth of social philosophy
- Relevance of social justice for empowering women internationally
- Legal literacy and social justice
- Tools to combat social injustice in current scenario
- Media and social justice
The organizers invite research papers from research scholars, academicians, social workers and students on the above mentioned themes of the seminar. The participants can also present papers on other related topics apart from the sub-themes. The abstracts shall not be more than 250 words and the full papers shall be limited to 2000 words. The papers shall be accompanied with author’s profile in brief with contact details. The soft copy of the abstract and the full paper should be send to seminar.at.laws@gmail.com. The last date for sending the paper is 20th March, 2016.
The hard copy of the paper should be submitted during registration. The registration fee for academicians shall be Rs 350. The research scholars and Post Graduate students should pay Rs 250 and Rs 150 respectively as registration charges. The payment shall be made in the form of Demand Draft. The DD should reach the organizers on or before 20th March, 2016. On the spot registration is also permitted.
