Call for Papers: Nirma University’s Journal of Alternate Dispute Resolution – Last Date for Submission 15th July, 2016

The Centre for Alternate Dispute Resolution, Institute of Law, Nirma University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat calls for papers to be published in the 2nd Issue of the Journal of Alternate Dispute Resolution, 2016-17 volume. The papers shall be submitted in the form of articles, research papers, case comment and book reviews on present legal issues and themes connected with arbitration as well as other ADR mechanisms. This journal is a peer reviewed publication with ISSN No: 2454-9932 published under the Centre for Alternate Dispute Resolution, Institute of Law, Nirma University.

The main objective of the journal is to encourage the development of knowledge and practices in the field of arbitration. It also aims to provide opportunities for academicians, industries, practitioners and research scholars to express their views on relevant issues related with alternate dispute resolution. Papers can be submitted by legal fraternities, academicians, practitioners, doctoral students, law students and other interested persons. The articles shall not be more than 5,000 to 7,000 words inclusive of the footnotes. The case notes and case comments shall be limited to 3500 to 4000 words. The case notes shall include detailed scrutiny of the recent cases, legislations and other laws.

Book reviews should be on any important contribution related with legal and academic scholarship. The main idea and discussions of the book should be added rather than the summary. The book reviews shall not exceed 2500 to 3000 words. The authors shall adhere to Harvard Blue Book (19th edition) citation style for footnotes. Co-authorship is permitted but only two authors per entry shall be submitted. The articles should be original and unpublished. Plagiarism will amount to disqualification of the papers. All the papers should be send along with an abstract limited to 300 words. There should be a covering letter along with the submission consisting of title, name of the author, name of the college or university, contact details and Email ID. The details of the author limited to 200 words shall be written in the covering letter. All the submissions should be send before 15th July, 2016 to adr@nirmauni.ac.in
