The D S R Hindu College of Law otherwise known as Daita Sriramulu Hindu College of Law is located in Machilipatnam in State of Andhra Pradesh. The college is one among the oldest private self financing colleges in Andhra Pradesh. The college is famous for imparting quality education along with most advanced opportunities for the students to excel in the profession. Many eminent lawyers and judicial officers are the former students of D S Hindu College of Law. The location of the college is the headquarters of Krishna District. Manchilipatnam is also famous for its historical importance. The students pass out from this college with wonderful experiences in the legal field. They get the opportunity to discuss with the society regarding various socio-legal problems and can try to resolve the issues applying their legal knowledge.
The D S R Hindu College of Law is affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University, well-known university in Andhra Pradesh. The college was established in 1982 by the Hindu High and Branch School Society constituted in 1896. It was through the efforts of Late Daita Madhusudana Sastry who was an educationist and outstanding lawyer that this institution became a reality. The college is recognized by the Bar Council of India. The RTC complex and the Railway station of Machilipatnam are near to the campus.
The college conducts LLB (3 year) course accommodating 60 students. Since, the college is endowed with excellent infrastructure and highly knowledgeable faculties, the students usually choose this college for carrying out Bachelor degree in Law Course. Generally, the judicial officers of High Court of Andhra Pradesh visit the college during annual celebrations. The moot court competitions organized by the college, occasion to communicate with the District Judge with the help of Legal Services Authority etc shows the academic excellence of the college. Moreover, the results are excellent and the students of this college are awarded with University rank most of the years. The meritorious candidates are always appreciated and medals and cash awards will be distributed as part of encouragement. In addition to academic activities the college also organizes other co-curricular activities enabling the students to show their talent in other fields.
