One of the Best National law school in India, the Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University, Lucknow was established in the year 2005 through a statute enacted by the Government of Uttar Pradesh- UP (U. P. Act no. 28 of 2005). The University has started operation from the year 2006 (January) and it was further, declared ‘fit’ for receiving the grants from University Grants Commission within the provisions of the Section 12 (b) of the UGC Act, in the year 2011. The University is based at Lucknow City (in the South- West part thereof), Uttar Pradesh. This University was formerly named as ‘Dr. Manohar Lohiya National Law Institute’. Moreover, this University is funded, fully, by the State Government. The University was given National Character by the year 2006, when it’s name was amended and the word ‘Institute’ was replaced with the word ‘University’. This university is offering both undergraduate and graduate legal education in India since from the year 2005. And for taking admissions in such courses in this University, one need to crack the Common Law Admission Test- CLAT, which is the centralized test. Also, this University is offering amazing facilities for its students and faculties, with the Centrally Air Conditioned administrative block, Library, Moot Court Hall, LCD Projectors, Presentations, Campus wide Internet facilities, 24 hours power back up, and many more facilities.
