Fourth- NLIU – INADR International Law School Mediation Tournament to be held from 27th to 29th, November 2015

National Law Institute University, Bhopal (NLIU) has announced the “Fourth – NLIU- INADR International Law School Mediation Tournament” through its Alternative Dispute Resolution Cell (ADRC) of NLIU. The tournament will pleased to hold from the date 27th of November, 2015 till the date 29th of the same month. The NLIU has announced this esteemed tournament due to its continued collaboration with the International Academy of Dispute Resolution
(INADR). And it is because of the preceding tournaments and their successful results, the NLIU has announced this year to hold this tournament again as ‘Fourth” one. As per NLIU, the tournament will more challenging and competitive this year than that which were held in preceding editions.
Moreover, in order to give participants a demonstration and for giving some sort of practice for the competition, there will be organized a training session in Mediation through the member of the INADR who are well experience and best professionals in Mediation. Such training session will be available for the All Teams.
In the terms of the concerned tournament of 2015, the Team cap is fixed at 32. And such teams will both inclusive of Domestic and Foreign countries’ teams. The requests for the participation in the Tournament of 2015 are invited till the 1st day of October, 2015. And for participating in the tournament, only invitations shall be accepted, but any law university, law institute or Law College can apply for an Invite through sending an E-mail on the NLIU’s address, i.e. nliu.inadr@gmail.com, nliu.inadr@gmail.com. In the mails sending for Invite the senders shall mention their desire to take participation in the tournament. The final date of the Confirmation of the Participation and Number of Teams by invited University will be 10th day of October, 2015. And the date for Registration Process is October 12th, 2015 onwards. Notably, in order to take participation, one shall be from the group of the students studying in the Under- graduation programme of the Law teaching institution. Further, in the terms and conditions, it is made very clear that there should not be more than Two Teams from a single University. And a Team shall be comprising of Three Members (for playing the Roles of Client, Counsel and Mediator).
The participating team shall be required to pay the Registration Fee which will be Rs. 6000 INR for the teams from India, and 120 US Dollars, for the Teams coming from Foreign countries.
As to the rules of the tournament field, it is given that the present Tournament will be having in all Three Rounds of Mediation. In all such rounds, the each member will be required to play their roles like Client, Counsel and Mediator Once. And notably, in the Final Round, there will be two top pairs of the Client and Counsel who will be facing each, co- mediated by the top Two Mediators.
In the Awards, the Organizers will be providing an Impressive Money Prize for winning this tournament to the Best Team. And besides, there will be other awards like Best Client- Counsel award, and Best Mediator award.
It is clearly announced for pleased noting of the Participants that the Teams having previous experience in Mediation, Negotiation and Other ADR Events will be given preference, for ensuring High- Quality of Competition. The sorting will be made while selection Teams for Participation. Similarly, while allotting slots to Universities from the set Team cap, preference
shall be towards the FIRST TEAM, while the SECOND TEAM will be wait- listed
until slots are available.
