Gujarat National Law University is a statutory institution established within the provisions of the Gujarat National Law University Act of 2003. The concerned University is based in Gujarat (India) and it is one of the most prominent National Law University and also one of the most prestigious law University in India. This University is located at Gandhinagar, which is the capital of Gujarat. This University has started its operation from the year 2004 and recently, in the year 2015 it was ranked as FOURTH BEST LAW SCHOOL in the country. This University is as such recognized by the Bar Council of India- BCI and also by the University Grants Commission- UGC. Also, it is the member of Association of Indian University- AIU. Thus, the University is functioning as nodal agency to uplift legal education in the State of Gujarat. Originally, the admissions in this University was done on the basis of a separate entrance exam which was being conducted by University itself, however, now it is granting admissions through the Common Law Admission Test- CLAT, from the year 2008. This university is offering various courses, including the undergraduate and post- graduate programmes. Also, it is offering the doctorate- PhD programmes in law along with the various diploma courses.
