The Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur organizes the International Model United Nations Conference which will be conducted on 11-13 March, 2016 at Hidayatullah National Law University campus, Raipur. The students will get the opportunity to participate in debate and also to evaluate and discuss on the major issues faced by the international community and the diplomats. The core area will be to harmonize the interests of the nation and also the needs of the international community.
The main object of the programme is to give a realistic feel regarding the conferences conducted in the United Nations. It also aims at giving an idea to the participants about the works of the UN and also to make them understand the major issues under the agenda of the organization. This inaugural session of the International Model United Nations Conference will be very interesting and good experience for the delegates. There will be five committees including the UN General Assembly, UN Security Council, UN Human Rights Council and All India Political Party Meet and International Press.
The UN General Assembly is the deliberative and representative organ whereas Security Council works for the maintenance of international peace and security. The Human Rights Council is engaged in the protection of human rights. The Political Party Meet conducts debates, protests etc and the press deals with articles, press conferences and many more with the assistance of journalists and media. Here the participants can interact with many people in India and people abroad. The conference will be informative with heated arguments and debates. Moreover, it will be good experience to know the proceedings of the UN and its organ through a conference with many foreign delegates and eminent persons. The organizing committee had announced prizes worth Rs 2 lakhs, certificates and trophy for best delegate.
