The K V Ranga Reddy Law college was established and developed under the efforts of many eminent legal personalities like Hon’ble Justice Konda Madhava Reddy Garu who was the Chief Justice of High of Andhra Pradesh Court and High Court of Bombay. He was also the Maharashtra Governor. Advocate K. Pratap Reddy Garu who is the senior lawyer of Andhra Pradesh High Court also made contributions for the constitution of the college along with other legal luminaries. It is an autonomous college affiliated to Osmania University.The college was constituted in 1991 in Hyderabad. The main aim of the college was to contribute to the needs of lawyers and legal professionals and also to impart quality legal education for the students.
The institution had always taken continuous efforts to uphold the dignity of legal profession and teaches its students to be truthful to the profession. With its qualified and distinguished faculty and brilliant students, the college is developing to be one of the best colleges in Andhra Pradesh. Guidance is also given with regard to higher studies and helps the students to be aware of new legal terms and phrases. The college is recognized by the Bar Council of India and offers LLB (3 year) course. The selection procedure is through LAWCET entrance examination conducted by the State of Andhra Pradesh. In addition the candidates should have passes graduation in any stream. The University from which graduation is taken should be a recognized one.
In addition to academic records, the college provides good infrastructure to its students. The library consists of journals, periodicals, books, magazines etc. The moot court room and seminar hall is maintained for the academic purpose. The students can make use of the computer lab and other co-curricular activities are carried out in the college. The teachers employ new teaching techniques and conducts discussion on the recent legal issues. Moreover, legal literacy and legal aid camps are conducted so that the importance of legal education and the basic rights and duties of a person can be imparted to the poor sections of the community. The college also trains its students for moot court competitions.
