On Tuesday 27th July Madras High Court Division Bench stayed an order passed by a single judge recently on dismissing a writ petition which was filed by actor Vijay regarding the entry tax exemption for his Rolls Royce imported Car from UK in 2012.
Tuesday, The High Court Division Bench comprising Justices M Duraiswamy and R Hemalatha directed Actor Vijay to pay 80% of the entry tax within in a week of receiving new demand challan from the tax department. Accordingly, the bench directed the tax department to raise the demand notice within a week.
