Hidayatullah National Law University, Chhattisgarh, India (HNLU) is inviting Papers on the emerging issue and related areas on the Broad sub themes found mentioned in the following paragraphs, from the academicians, judges, researchers, practitioners, students and other stakeholders.
The concerned University, HNLU has announced its National seminar on the issue, ‘Changing Dimensions of Morality and Ethics in Legal Profession: Challenges & Prospects’. It is found mentioned in the Seminar file attached with the announcement that the keeping in mind the importance of the Professional ethics, legal ethics as being the part of professional ethics and the Code of Conduct in the legal professions, and also the various challenges which the legal profession presently facing, the present Seminar is sought to be conducted by the University. This is also for spreading the awareness regarding the changing dimensions of the professional morality and ethics in India along with its challenges and prospects.
The last date for the submission of the Papers will be 25th day of February, 2016, as announced by the concerned University. And also notably, the announcement also shows that the selected papers will be published in the form of an edited book which will be having ISBN number too.
Thus, the HNLU has selected the basic theme as shown above and also there are some sub- themes which the candidate need to cover in the paper work. These sub- themes including:
1. Role of Internet and other Communication Technology in Legal Profession
2. Right to Advertise for Lawyers
3. Role of Professional Etiquette and Ethics for Legal Practitioners
4. Right to Practice: A New Approach
5. Outsourcing of Legal Services: Trends, Challenges and Potential in India
6. Liberalization of Legal Services in India through GATS
7. Contempt of Court: A Challenge to Rule of Law
8. Cooperative Interaction between Lawyers and Judges: Bench-Bar Relations
9. Challenges Faced by Legal Profession in 21st Century
10. Model Rules of Professional and Judicial conduct for the Upliftment of Administration of Justice
11. Strike by Advocates and Limited Liability
12. Crisis of Professional Ethics due to Liberalization of Legal Profession
Moreover, such sub themes are only broad areas and not exhaustive. Also, the candidate can add any of the themes, which though are not covered under the aforementioned sub- themes but having relevance in the thrust area of the seminar. Also, University has announced some guidelines for the candidates reference, in which it is shown that the abstract of the Paper should contain 300- 400 accompanied by the brief profile of the Author and also it should be showing his email id, contact number, designation and address. Moreover, full paper should not be containing more than 6000 words and all the contents to be typed in fonts- Times New Roman, Size- 12 on Paper size- A4 size with Margin- 1” on all sides and also with Line Spacing- 1.5 line in MS Word and for citations candidates need to follow Bluebook (19th ed.) style. Also for registration and fees the university issued guidelines in which the fee of Registration to be paid through Demand draft in favour of “Registrar, HNLU, Raipur” payable at Raipur. And for Students and Research Scholars, the individual fee will be Rs. 750/-; for Co-authors it will be Rs. 1000/- and also for Acamedicians and others the individual fee will be Rs. 1000/-; for Co-authors it will be Rs. 1500/-.
