New Delhi: Today, on Saturday, 30th April, the honourable Supreme Court of India refused to entertain a plea in the petition which was filed by a Group of Students, where the modification of order for NEET- National Eligible Entrance Test. Thus, Supreme court through such decision has made its intention clear by dismissing such plea and said that “let the exams go on.”
However, as per the students who preferred such plea, found stated that syllabus of the CBSE and State Boards are different and they will have no time to prepare for the exams. As such, the said petitioners- students sought the modification of the order of the Top Court.
As per the said order of the Apex Court, the court had required to conduct the examinations of First Phase of National Eligibility Entrance Test which as per the order to be held on First day of May, i.e. Tomorrow. And while rejecting the plea of the students, the Top court observed that nothing stops the students from preparing for the examinations.
Moreover, it was earlier seen, yesterday, on Friday that the honourable Apex Court said that the Entrance Test for the admission for MBBS and BDS courses for the current academic year will be held as per the Schedule with the single common entrance test NEET on two different dates, i.e. First day of May and also 24th day of July.
While making the decision, the court of Justice- A. R. Dave found stated that the “we are not having the bench.” And he also added that “let the exam go on. Let them file the applications.” Yesterday, it was also seen that the Central Government had also approached the Apex Court claiming the modification of the Thursday’s order for allowing the Governments of the States and Private Colleges to hold separate entrance examinations for the MBBS and BDS courses for the academic year 2016- 2017.
It was on Thursday, the Apex Court found made it clear that decks for the holding of NEET exams will be in two phases for this academic year concerned. This year about 6.5 lakh of the candidates will be appearing the said exams.
