The latest edition of the ‘NLIU- TRA Contract Drafting Competition’ is organizing by the National Law Institute University, Bhopal’s Centre for Business and Commercial Laws- CBCL in collaboration with the Tanikella Rastogi Associates.
National Law Institute University, Bhopal is one of the Top most three National Law Schools and Centre for Research in India. It is located at Bhopal in the State of Madhya Pradesh and was established around Eighteen years back in the year 1997. Similarly, the Centre for Business and Commercial Law- CBCL is a UGC accredited body of the University which was set up by the year 2008 with the aim of facilitating corporate awareness and research. The body has successfully been publishing a corporate e- journal and also organizing regular Guest lecturers. And now, it has decided to organize this edition of Contract Drafting Competition.
In relation to the competition, the participants are required to draft a Contract in accordance with the instructions which are provided to them from the organizing bodies. And the important dates, which are announced by the organizers, includes that for Submission of the draft, the final date is November 22nd, 2015 (till 11.59 pm). Moreover, notably, the organizers have specifically provided that soon the Draft in relation to the competition will be submitted, the same will be considered as Registration of the team which is sending such Draft.
And thereafter, as per rules of the competition, a Single representative from the Top FOUR teams will be required to give interview on the Contract and this is for Award of Rankings.
For the competition, the participating team should be comprised of maximum Two persons only. And such two persons can only participate as a team for the competition. And, subsequently after such submission or registration of the team, the Qualifying participants will be informed about the dates of the ‘Telephonic Negotiation’.
In relation to the Draft Submissions, certain guidelines are provided from the side of Organizers, in which, the compulsion of English Language, typed draft [Fonts: Times New Roman, Font Size: 12, Line Spacing: 1.5, Margins: 1”on all sides and Maximum words: 2000 (excluded cover letter)] for writing Draft is provided. Moreover, the draft submission should be mailed at nliubhopal.tra@gmail.com with the subject written as ‘NLIU-TRA Contract Drafting Competition, 2015’.
Prize will be awarded in relation to this competition, as per ranking and for First Prize, Rs. 10,000; for Second Prize, Rs. 7,000 and For Third Prize, Rs. 3,000 will be presented as Money prize.
