The Punjab’s Patiala- based National law University being Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, which is in its abbreviation form known as RGNUL is one of the top most National law institution in India which is offering various studies in Law. The University, notably, was established under the provisions of the Punjab Act no. 12 of 2006 i.e. the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab Act, 2006, which was brought into operation in the year 2006 by establishing this esteemed institution. The University is as such an institution dedicated to the field of Legal Education. The University has started functioning from the session of 2013 in its permanent Fifty acre campus. Moreover, it is affiliated to the University Grant Commission and also approved by the Bar Council of India for its offering legal education. Moreover, this University has also been declared fit for obtaining grant from the University Grants Commission- UGC under Section 12-B of the UGC Act, 1956. Thus, the University is offering education for undergraduate, post- graduate courses in law (LL.B, LL.M, LL.B (honours) through CLAT exam which is an entrance test for qualifying to get enrolled for these courses. Also it is offering Ph.D in various subjects.
