RGNUL, Punjab organizes 2nd S. Gururcharan Singh Tulsi International Legal Research Paper Writing Competition, 2016 – Last date of Submission – 22nd July, 2016

The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab has decided to conduct the 2nd S. Gururcharan Singh Tulsi International Legal Research Paper Writing Competition, 2016 under the sponsorship of Mr. KTS Tulsi, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India and Member, Rajya Sabha, New Delhi. The research writing will be related with criminal law. The full time law students at graduate and post graduate level from a recognized university are eligible to participate in the competition. The theme of the writing is ‘Hate Speeches: Where to draw the line’. The organizers permit co-authorship on separate registration. The papers will be rejected if a person writes more than one research paper.

The papers shall be original and unpublished earlier. Any kind of identification marks in the papers shall be avoided. The registration form with the signature of the HOD along with the declaration form should be send to the organizers before July 22, 2016. The last date for sending the full papers is on July 22, 2016. The registration forms are available at www.rgnul.ac.in. The organizers also announce cash prize worth Rs 15000 for best research paper, Rs 10000 for Second Best Research Paper and Rs 5000 for Third Best Research Paper. The name of the winners will be published in the website in addition to separate intimation on August 22, 2016.

The date and venue of award distribution will be announced later. All the participants will get certificate of participation. The abstract of the research paper shall not exceed 500 words. The words of the full paper shall be limited to 3000 to 5000 words excluding the footnotes. The rules regarding format of the paper is provided in the website. The cover page, research paper, registration form and the declaration form should be send via email to gtstulsiresearch2016@gmail.com. There will be publication of the selected papers in an edited book. The certificates will be send to the concerned institutions via post. The papers will be valued by a panel of experts and the decision of the committee will be final in this regard.
