The Sardar Patel Subharti Institute of Law has decided to conduct National Debate Competition on 11th April, 2016. The participants should be any 3 year or 5 year LLB students from a recognized university or college. A team should consist of two speakers, one speaking for motion and the other person speaking against motion. Only two teams from a university or institute is permitted to participate. The interested participants should send the duly filled in registration form and the demand draft of Rs 1000 drawn in favour of Sardar Patel Subharti Institute of Law payable at Meerut.
The accommodation and boarding will be provided to the participants by the university on payment of Rs 1500 on sharing basis and Rs 1200 for one pack or night. The university will take local travel arrangements for those who avails accommodation facility from the university. Participants can also arrange their own lodging facilities.
The speakers are permitted to speak either in English or Hindi. One speaker will be allotted five minutes for their presentation. Thereafter intimation by warning bell will be given to stop the presentation. The marks will be reduced for exceeding time limit. The participants should wear formals and should bring the ID card compulsorily. The teams without ID card will not be permitted to attend the competition. The participants should send the soft copy of the registration form accompanied with the demand draft on or before 31st March, 2016 to mca.svsu@gmail.com.
The hard copies of the registration form along with the demand draft should be send to Principal, Sardar Patel Subharti Institute of Law, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University Subharti Puram, NH-58, Delhi Haridwar-Meerut Bypass Road, Meerut on or before 10th April, 2016. The organizers have announced cash awards to be presented to first three best speakers and there will be consolation prizes for fives best presenters. They will also be presented with cash prizes. In addition to individual prizes award will also be given to best team. All participating teams will get momento and certificate.
