The Saveetha School of Law, Saveetha University has decided to conduct 4th Jus Amicus National Moot Court Competition, 2016 at Saveetha School of Law, Saveetha University on April 15 to 17, 2016. Te teams for the competition have to reach Chennai on or before 15th April, 2016 and have to be present at the venue by 3.00 pm for an orientation programme conducted by the organizers. The participants shall be students pursuing five year BA LLB or three year LLB programme from the institution recognized by the Bar Council of India. The team shall consist of minimum two members and the maximum members shall be four. If the team composition is three, two shall be speakers and one shall be researcher. If there are four members, two shall be speaker, one shall be researcher and the other shall be observer.
In case of three member team, the registration fee shall be Rs 3000 and if the team is composed of four members the registration fee shall be Rs 4000. Along with the registration fee, the participants have to send the duly dilled in registration form also. The registration fee along with the form shall reach the organizers by March 31, 2016. The provisional registration should be send to Email- jusamicus.ssl@gmail.com before March 21, 2016. The teams will be given a team code after registration. The participants can register formally on April 15, 2016. There will be researcher’s test on April 15, 2016.
The teams should send 8 sets of memorials separately for petitioner and respondent before April 12, 2016. The cover page for the petitioner should be blue and respondent should be red. The soft copy of the memorials in PDF format have to be send to the organizers by April 9, 2016. There will be awards for Winner, Runners Up, Best Memorial first and second place, Best Speaker first and second place, Best Researcher first and second place and spirit of SSL. The participants will be provided accommodation from Aril 15 to April 17 during the competition. The travel details should be send along with the registration form.
