NEF Law College, Assam

NEF Law College, established in the year 2006 which is located at Christianbasti, G S Road in the heart of Guwahati city.  This college is considered as one of the finest centres of legal education in the north eastern region of India.  As the college is in the locational advantage as Guwahati which is considered as gateway of north India.

National Education Foundation is promoting the NEF law college which is a pioneering organisation in this region of the country. It is engaged in promoting and popularising professional education and inculcating the new generation a spirit of competitiveness.  College is affiliated and permitted by Gauhati University and also approved by Bar Council of India (BCI).  Their objective is to advance legal knowledge and to develop students a sense of responsibility in the society and make legal process and useful instrument in social development.

NEF Law College fulfils the dream of a law college of excellence in northern territory of India.  This college is set up in uniformity with other reputed national colleges in the country. Main aim of the college is to promote legal education among younger generations in this region to mould them to be a responsible person of the nation.

College is located at G S Road having a multi-storied building in and covering area of 14000 square feet and when completed it would be 40,000.00 square feet.  College has a state-of-art infrastructure, Wi-Fi campus network and parent teacher association too.  Its environment is very quiet and calm which is in the midst of the city of Guwahati.  College has a team of highly dedicated teachers who are known for their exceptional academic performances.

College has B.A. LL.B (Hons), B.B.A LL.B (Hons), B.Com. LL.B (Hons) degree and 3 years LL.B degree and LL.M degree too.  College has quite a spacious class rooms, moot court hall, library, and it provides scholarship.  In its scholarship program it offers merit-cum-means scholarship to 5 meritorious and deserving students.  If any student’s parent dies then his/her tuition fees is waived while pursuing the course in the college.  In the year 2008-09 following two state rank holders were awarded scholarship Mr. Hemanga Barman and Miss. Manashi Saikia.  Minority community students can avail this scholarship scheme offered by Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India.
