Jagarlamudi Chandramouli College of Law, Andhra Pradesh

The JC College of Law is established under the Nagarjuna Education Society in 1991. The name of the college is given in remembrance of Sri Jagarlamudi Chandramouli. The college is affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University and is recognized by the Bar Council of India. At the initial stages, the college was functioning in the campus of JKC College which is its parent institution. But later in 1998, another building was constructed completely for the JC College of Law. Till 2000, the college was functioning as an evening college but when the Bar Council of India issued a policy, the evening college ceased to function and the hours of lecture were carried out in the morning hours. The LLB (5 year) course was started in 2001 and now the college conducts LLB (3 year) course as well. The total seats for 5 year LLB course is 80 and for 3 year LLB course is 160.

The college consists of rooms for the management committee members, Principal and other office staffs. The moot court halls and library are very useful for the students. The primary importance is given to classroom lectures. Other academic activities like debates, moot court, discussions etc are carried out every Saturdays. Apart from academic activities, cultural programmes and sports are conducted in the college. The management is very co-operative with the students providing most advanced facilities for learning and developing their potential.

For 3 year course and 5 year course, the candidates have to write the LAWCET examination after notification and the admissions through management quota is decided during the months of June or July every year. The college also conducts other courses in collaboration with the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). The college offers Post-Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights (PGDIPR) for which the qualification is graduation and the duration is one year, Post-Graduate Certificate in Cyber Law (PGCCL) (one year online course) can be done by graduates and Certificate Programme in Human Rights (CHR) for which higher secondary pass is essential and the course duration is six months.
