The India of Dreams joints hands with Legal Desire to organize the 2nd National Essay Writing Competition, 2015. The main aim of the competition is to provide chance to the budding lawyers and other young citizens to be aware of the provisions of human rights at the national and global level. The organizers expect to spread the awareness regarding human rights and also to make them understand the rights available to a person. It further endeavors to promote an outlook of open-mindedness and to take away prejudice towards other persons. The competition is conducted by the organizers keeping in mind the importance of human rights as the basic rights of all human beings. The competition is open to all the students who are pursuing any degree or post graduate degree course.
The main theme of the essay will be ‘Human Rights of Vulnerable Groups’. The sub themes include:
- Corruption and Human Rights – A New Perspective
- Abolition of Child Labour
- Human Rights of Senior Citizens
- Role of Judiciary in Developing Human Right Jurisprudence in Part III of the Constitution
The medium of writing by the participants should compulsorily be in English. The writing should be typed in Microsoft office word in Times New Roman format. The font size should be 12 and the spacing shall be 1.5. The competition permits co-authorship and the essay shall not exceed 3000 words. The total words shall exclude the footnotes. The work should be original and the participant shall make a declaration in this behalf. The essay will be rejected if found copied and the organizers will take legal action against the participant. The registration fee shall be Rs 250 for each participant. The co-author shall pay the fee separately.
The students shall register through www.legaldesire.asia/essay2015 for participation. Offline registration can be done by paying the fee through Demand Draft or bank deposit. The DD shall be taken in favor of Desire Web India which shall be payable at Meerut. The DD shall be sent to:

To submit registration form, the participant shall download the form from the website and the filled in form shall be send to essay@legaldesire.com. The registration will be confirmed after clearing these steps. The last date for registration shall be May 15, 2015 and the essays shall be submitted within June 30, 2015. The essays send after the specified date will be rejected.
