National Law School of India University, Bangalore

National Law School of India University is a well- know law institution for the undergraduate and graduate legal education in India. This Law University is established in India as the first ever National law University and it is now located at Bangalore. Moreover, this Law University was officially founded in the year 1987 and it was established by the Statute, namely, The National Law School of India University Act, 1986, which was passed by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Karnataka and notified in the official gazette in the year 1987. Also, the said statute is contemplating all the provisions necessary for the governing of the university and also its relations. Moreover, notably, this institution was the first one in India which have offered a pioneering FIVE Year’s intensive course in Social Sciences and Law. Also notably, for the admissions to this National Law School, the process is seem little competitive as earlier there was only entrance examinations but, now, as per ruling of the honourable Supreme Court of India, the entrance examinations were decided to be conducted together and as such Common Law Admission Test- CLAT process was initiated from the year 2008. Thus, now for taking admissions in this university, one need to crack such examination. Also, this Law school is always recognized and ranked as the most prestigious law school in India.
