New Delhi: Yesterday, i.e. on 4th April the honourable Supreme Court of India started with the hearing in the Delhi Rape Case, where the Delhi High Court found upholding the death penalty for the four accused in the case.
Now, the matter is brought before the honourable Supreme Court of India, with the appeal against such decision of the lower court, and the Three- Judges bench of the Apex Court, comprising of Justice- Dipak Misra, Justice V. Gopala Gowda and Justice Kurian Joseph, began with the hearing in such appeals.
The instance Delhi Gang Rape was incidented on 16th day of December and the incident also result in the murder of the victim.
It was seen yesterday, that the said three- judges bench of the apex court first sought to hear the counsel- M. L. Sharma for convicted- Mukesh and Pawan, while so Counsel- Sharma sought to maintain that in the decision which the High Court Delhi, made in this case’s connection, that court had committed an error in confirming the judgment of the Trial Court, where that court had sentenced them to Death.
Not only this, the Convicts- Mukesh and Pawan were attended the court hearing, the other two convicts- Vinay Sharma and Akshay Kumar Singh were also seemed present in the Apex Court, and all of them found challenging the decision of the High Court of Delhi, which was made by it on 13th day of March, 2014.
It was seen, reportedly, the rape and murder case victim who was a paramedic of 23- years- old of her age, and she was brutally assaulted and gang raped by the Six persons in the moving Bus in South Delhi and Thrown out of the vehicle with her male friend on the night of 16th December, 2012. While treatment, it was seen that the victim died in Singapore- based hospital on 29th day of December, same year.
Moreover, it was also notable that in the history of the case, the prime accused in the case, was also found dead in the Tihar Jail’s cell in 2013’s March month and as such the proceedings against him were to be abated. Another juvenile offender in the case was convicted on 31st day of August, 2013 and was sentenced to suffer three years in a reformation home, he was released in last year, December.
