About Advocate Mikky Sudhakaran
Mrs Mikky Sudhakaran is a practising advocate based in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala, India. Born and brought up in Kollam, she has developed a professional journey shaped by academic achievement, legal practice, research and a commitment to public legal education.
She completed her schooling at Vimala Hridaya Girls High School before pursuing her graduation in Commerce, which she completed in 2000. Her interest in law led her to Kerala Law Academy, Thiruvananthapuram, where she pursued her legal studies.
In 2003, she secured First Rank in LL.B from Kerala University and was awarded the prestigious Sreenivas Memorial Gold Medal in recognition of her academic excellence. Following this achievement, she enrolled with the Bar Council of Kerala and commenced her legal practice in the same year.
Education & Academic Excellence
Alongside her legal practice, Mikky continued to pursue higher education. In 2004, she joined the postgraduate LL.M programme at Kerala Law Academy and specialised in International Law.
She completed her postgraduate studies through Kerala University in 2006, obtaining a first-class result. During her postgraduate studies, she participated in various academic seminars and completed her thesis on Outer Space Law, reflecting her interest in emerging and international legal disciplines.
Graduation in Commerce
Completed her undergraduate studies in Commerce before entering the legal profession.
LL.B First Rank
Secured First Rank from Kerala University and received the Sreenivas Memorial Gold Medal for academic excellence.
Enrolment & Legal Practice
Enrolled with the Bar Council of Kerala and began practising law.
LL.M in International Law
Completed postgraduate studies with first class, including academic research on Outer Space Law.
Guest Faculty of Law
Joined Kerala Law Academy as a guest faculty member, contributing to legal education.
Founded Lawyers Law
Launched LawyersLaw.org as an online platform for legal information, research and awareness.
Legal Practice & Teaching
Mikky began her legal practice in 2003 after enrolling with the Bar Council of Kerala. Her professional journey has included legal practice, academic research and teaching.
In 2007, she joined Kerala Law Academy as a Guest Faculty of Law, where she had the opportunity to contribute to legal education and engage with aspiring legal professionals.
During this period, she also had the opportunity to attend a teachers' training programme conducted by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
In the same year, she served as a judge at the 18th All India Moot Court Competition conducted by Kerala Law Academy.
Although she subsequently stepped away from her teaching position due to personal circumstances, her interest in legal education, research and knowledge sharing continued to influence her professional pursuits.
Founding Lawyers Law
Mikky strongly believes that the law is closely connected to the everyday lives of citizens and that access to reliable legal information can help people better understand their rights, responsibilities and the legal system.
Guided by this belief, she established LawyersLaw.org in 2012 with the support of her husband, an IT professional.

The purpose behind launching Lawyers Law was to create a platform offering accessible information about Indian laws, current socio-legal issues, important legal developments and relevant news.

Beyond her professional commitments, Mikky describes herself as a positive, confident, dedicated and hardworking individual who values personal discipline and continuous learning.
She enjoys entertainment, particularly comedy films, cartoons and sports. Travelling is another important interest, as she believes it offers opportunities to experience the beauty of nature, meet new people and explore diverse cultures and cuisines.
She also enjoys soft, melodious music with meaningful lyrics. Painting is one of her passionate hobbies, and she has developed a personal collection of artwork. Reading good books, blogging and writing are equally important parts of her life.
Teaching, research and writing remain recurring interests. She believes that life offers endless opportunities to learn, develop new perspectives and enrich one's knowledge.
Her personal philosophy centres on self-belief, a positive outlook, strong values, hard work and extending happiness to others.
