Mr. Salman Khan, Bollywood actor, by appearing in the Jodhpur Court (Rajasthan), in the matter registered under Arms Act against him relating to shooting of Black Bucks, he pleaded innocent while recording his Statements.
Mr. Khan appeared before the said Court on Wednesday i.e. 29th April for recording his statements in Arms case against him.
The Arms case is pending before, the Jodhpurs’ Court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate-CJM presided by Anupama Bijlani, Judge, where Mr. Khan has pleaded innocence, as has been told by the Counsel, Adv. H. M. Saraswat appearing for Mr. Khan. Mr. H. M. Saraswat further told that Mr. Khan is given a time till 4th of next month i.e. May, by the CJM Court for present his side.
It was seen that Mr. Khan, being bollywood actor, appeared before the Jodhpur’s CJM Court along with his Sister, Mrs. Alvira, her Husband Mr. Ayush and his Bodyguard Mr. Shera.
The case against Mr. Khan was booked under Arms Act by the Forest Department, alleging that Mr. Khan’s Arms using license was expired at the time when he was using it for alleged poaching of Black Bucks at the Village Kankani near, Jodhpur on the intervening night of 1- 2 of October, 1998. In other words Mr. Khan was charged for using an Arms illegally at the time of occurrence.
In the present Arms case, Mr. Khan along with some other Bollywood Actors were accused of Poaching Black Bucks on the said midnight, while they being on Shooting of one Hindi Movie namely, ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’. And on such occurrence, two black bucks were killed on the outskirts of Kankani Village near Jodhpur. Such Black Bucks are protected animals under the Wildlife Protection Act.
It can be seen that the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, at Jodhpur, had accepted an application preferred by the Counsel appearing for Mr. Khan, on 23rd April, where exemption was sought from Salman’s appearance in the Court, by placing a reason that he was ill health, and Court had permitted him to appear on this Wednesday for recording his Statements.
