New Raipur- Chhattisgarh- based National Law School, viz. The Hidayatullah National Law University is an autonomous law university in India. This University is named in the name of Former Chief Justice of India- Mohammad Hidayatullah. This University is coming on Sixth in the series of National Law Schools. The university was established as the Centre for legal excellence by the Government of Chhattisgarh by enacting the Hidayatullah National University of Law, Chhattisgarh, Act of 2003. The University is having a single point motto of ‘Dharma Sansthapanartham’. Moreover, this University is a Residential University and has been included in the list of the Universities maintained by the University Grants Commission under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956. Moreover, it is declared as fit for receiving the Central assistance in the terms of the rules framed under Section 12 (B) of the UGC Act, 1956. Moreover, it has received the recognition from the Bar Council of India under the provisions of the Advocate Act.
