North Lakhimpur Law College, Assam

North Lakhimpur Law College which was established in North Eastern area of India is located in Lakhimpur and it has successfully carved a niche of its own in this area for legal education in Assam.  It has successfully committed to raise the standards of legal education and provides adequate practical exposure to the students in the legal field.

The founders had aspired to develop and enhance employability of students of law and immensely concerned about the welfare and intellectual development of the students in the institution by providing value education in this backward region of Assam. This college also ensures that it maintains high standard of education and is student friendly too, it takes feedbacks from students and uses it for better management.

They have a spacious lush green area surrounding the college premises which is quite suitable for a peaceful study and research work to the law students.  This college is approved by Bar Council of India (BCI) Government of India and it imparts law programme at undergraduate level i.e. 5 years B.A. LL.B (Hons) and 3 years LL.B Courses also.  It is a full time programme which is conducted in the campus and they have both boys and girls studying in the college as it is a co-education college.  They impart the subject as per the rules and regulations of the University.  They follow semester system in the college.  This College has a wide range of modern amenities to the students studying in the college.  Candidates or students aspiring to study in this college must pass Bachelor’s level exam with minimum 45% marks from a recognised university. For SC/STs candidates the minimum marks is 40% aggregate from any recognised university.  Selection is usually on the basis of ranks obtained by the students in the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the University.  They have library facility in their campus with various different law reports available to study.  A huge auditorium, modern class rooms, extracurricular activities. This college has zero tolerance toward ragging in the college campus and aims at ragging free zone in the premises.
