Nowgong Law College was established in 1990 and it is affiliated to Gauhati University of Assam and it is also approved by Bar Council of India, (BCI) Government of India New Delhi.
The college offers a very creative learning environment and has a very experienced faculties who are working for the betterment of the students every year. Many students come from almost all states of North Eastern India to study here and have an enriching learning experience in the college campus.
They provide 3 years LL.B course and have a semester system that they follow. It is a full time course that the college provides. It has grown since few students to many in the recent years and has helped in imparting a good legal education in this region of Assam. It is a co-education system that is prevailing in the college where both girls and boys study law in the college campus. They have a good spacious library, moot court room, lecture hall, auditorium. In the months of June the college academic year begins. It believes in overall development of the students by balancing academics, extra-curricular activities and they even have sports activity in the campus. College is located in such a place that provides the perfect academic ambience where they have eco-friendly class-rooms. This college has spacious class rooms, and well equipped library for the students to refer law books for their course. The college conducts debates and quiz to the students every year in the premises. This college also ensures that it maintains high standard of education and is student friendly too.It imparts law programme as per the rules and regulations of the University. The college provides a wide range of modern amenities to the students studying in the college.
This college follows English medium of education in the campus and to get admission in the college student must have passed bachelor degree with 45% marks in aggregate and he/she should be below 30 years of age which is for a 3 year LL.B course.
