The M. S. Ramaiah Journal of Law (MSRJL) inviting Papers on the topic of “Laws and Policies regulating the energy sector in India” – Last Date of Submission – 31st March, 2016

M. S. Ramaiah College of Law’s associated journal, namely, The M. S. Ramaiah Journal of Law- MSRJL inviting the Papers on the topic of “Laws and Policies regulating the energy sector in India”.

The said M. S. Ramaiah College of Law is affiliated to Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi. And its official journal as said above is a high quality anonymous journal for peer- viewing. Moreover, the journal is offering the platform for the researchers of law, judicial officers, academicians, law practitioners and students to impart and share legal knowledge in the form of high quality empirical and theoretical research papers, articles and case comments. Thus the present concerned journal is currently inviting the papers for its Vol. II, Issue II, which will be published in the month of August, this year.

In relation to the theme for the said Volume and Issue, it is already discussed in the first paragraph. Moreover, for encouraging scholarly work on the energy laws and their implementation in India, the present broad theme is taken. Also for supporting the candidates, the journal also offered some sub- themes, in which the following titles are also provided:

i.            Environment protection versus power generation in India

ii.            Impact of the energy sector on economic development in India

iii.            Legal regime regulating the energy sector in India

iv.            PSUs in the energy sector and corresponding policies of regulation

v.            Energy in the five year plans

vi.            Implementation of India’s foreign policy in the energy sector

vii.            Laws regulating offences in the energy sector

viii.            Legal regime governing foreign investment in the energy sector

ix.            Decentralization in power generation

Moreover, there are some guidelines also provided from the journal side, in which it is found mentioned that the abstract should be submitted in not more than 300 words. And the same must be written using MS word and its created file should be sent with its including details like Name, Title of the Paper, Sub- theme, Address, Affiliating Institution, Email and Contact Numbers. And also notably, the selected abstracts’ contributors will be invited to submit the final paper. Thus, the contributors can select any of the following categories of writing:

i.            Long Articles/Research Papers: 10,000-12,000 words (inclusive of footnotes)

ii.            Short Articles: 6000-8000 words (inclusive of footnotes)

iii.            Case Comments/Critique of recent judgments: 2000-4000 words (inclusive of footnotes)

Moreover, there are some writings related guidelines in which contributors need to write in the fonts- Times New Roman, Line Spacing- 1.5, Margin- 1” on both sides and justified. And for footnotes, he should use same font, with line spacing of 1 and justified. And for citation, he need to use the Harvard Bluebook (19th Edition) style. And charts/ tables should be made a part of the main test itself.
