Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai is one of the latest National Law schools which were established in India for imparting the legal education. The University in its short form- MNLU Mumbai is established by an Act which was passed by the Maharashtra State Legislature as The Maharashtra National Law University Act, 2014 (Maha Act No. VI of 2014). The statute was enacted on 20th day of March, 2014 and later the University was set up. Thus, the University as it is established under the present Act is a Statutory institution in the State for the development and advancement of the legal education. The University is thus, imparting education through its offered various undergraduate and post- graduate levels courses and also through various other courses. In particular, under the Undergraduate level programmes the MNLU Mumbai is offering five year integrated B.A. LL.B (honours) and B.Com., LL.B (honours) courses. And for admissions, the students need to clear MNLU admission tests which would be conducted by the MNLU Mumbai. Moreover, under the Post- graduate level programmes the University is offering One- year postgraduate LL.M in Law Pedagogy & Research program to ten student, however, additional two seats are considerable for the NRI admissions.
