New Delhi : The Delhi Crime Branch, being chief probe unit of Delhi’s Police Department was slammed by the honourable Apex Judicial authority of India- Supreme Court, for its dealing with the investigation tawdrily relating to the case of Molestation and for its unconvincing report submitting at the Bench thereof.
It was directed to the Police Commission, Delhi by the honourable Supreme Court that the investigation in relation to the Molestation probe should be done afresh with the held of Elite special cell and also require to submit a report as soon as possible.
It is seen that the records files of the case, were handed over by the Crime branch to the concerned Cell, which has registered an FIR.
For the factual aspect of the case, it was seen that the case is an outcome of an occurrence which was taken place last year at the Police State, Lajpat Nagar, where the Inspector, from Delhi Police was an accused, as per sources. Also, along with such inspector, other police personnel and private individuals were also seen accused of Misbehaving, as per the Complaint which was preferred by the Woman lawyer. Further, there was given a clean chit by the Crime Branch to the concerned police personnel in the recent past days, as per order quoted in FIR. However, the Special Cell in the FIR, has involved the Section 354, 323, 34, 341 and 506 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 being for Molestation, Hurt, Common intention, Wrongful restraint and Criminal intimidation, respectively.
Moreover, it is mentioned in the FIR, that on 4th day April, last year, some private individuals and police personnel were entered in the House of Client of the said lady Lawyer- Complainant, and started demolishing the house with their claim that for doing so they have Court’s order, on which later, the said women lawyer obtained a Court’s stay and for submitting the receipt of the said staying order, went to the alleged Police station where should was allegedly harassed and threatened by the Police and Private persons.
Allegations also includes that the said Lady lawyer was trying to click a photographs of alleged behaviour to keep as evidence, however, she was manhandled. It was made clear by her that there was one from those police personnel who tried to save her and for that reason she managed to escape the place of occurrence.
